Weekly Re-Cap / Thoughts

- This was another week that flew by!

- I’m all “blogged” out from this past weekend’s 30 Hour Famine blog marathon! Did you actually read them all?

- The 30 Hour Famine was a HUGE success! Our students raised thousands of dollars for world hunger! We are so proud of them!

- Check out my video blog post about it if you dare!

- I’ve been feeling pretty sick the past couple of days. I wonder why!

- Leah said I’m not as young as I used to be, so I went running, biking, and did double pilates!

- Now I’m saying that I’m not as young as I used to be. Go figure!

- Craig Groeschel spoke this weekend at Northway and at a few thousand other churches all at the same time via HD Video!

- It was seriously one of the best messages I have ever heard about uniting Christians!

- After hearing his message, I feel an incredible responsibility to make sure I do my part in being unified!

- I plan on devoting a blog post later this week just to what we learned about.

HUNGER FACTS: (The last 30 Hour Famine related info for a long time!)

hunger.jpg- More than 854 million people in the world go hungry each year.

- In developing countries nearly 16 million children die every year from preventable and treatable causes. Sixty percent of these deaths are from hunger and malnutrition.

- In the United States, 11.7 million children live in households where people have to skip meals or eat less to make ends meet. That means one in ten households in the U.S. are living with hunger or are at risk of hunger.

- In America, 35.5 million people—including 12.6 million children—live in households that experience hunger or the risk of hunger. This represents more than one in ten households in the United States.

- Not many people (Americans) are doing anything about it!
